With the outbreak of COVID-19, we face an unprecedented challenge in our community. There is a lot we do not know, but there are some elements we can be sure of as they relate to families who are housing unstable... the need for support is increasing. We remain committed to supporting families who are housing unstable through prevention, shelter, and stabilization services during this challenging time.

Our services are still critically needed. We are continuing to take steps to avert potential new cases of homelessness through rental assistance programs. Low-income families are being hard-hit by this health crisis through the loss of wages, jobs, transportation, childcare, and more. They will need our support now and into the future.

While our traditional rotational shelter model was suspended in March, we have creatively developed new approaches to shelter and have increased our capacity to support families in our community who are experiencing homelessness by sheltering families in hotels, campsites, and other underutilized facilities.
