Seafood eatery will help end family homelessness on Giving Tuesday

Ahi and Vegetable will donate 50% of its proceeds to Family Promise of Hawaiʻi on Nov. 29-30

HONOLULU, November 28, 2022 — This week, Oʻahu residents can support children and families experiencing homelessness just by ordering a meal from Ahi and Vegetable.

Ahi and Vegetable will donate 50% of its proceeds on November 29 and 30 to Family Promise of Hawaiʻi. Since 2006, the nonprofit has provided emergency shelter, rental assistance, and a range of compassionate services to children and families experiencing homelessness.

November 29 is Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity following Thanksgiving each year.

To support the fundraiser, Oʻahu residents can visit Ahi and Vegetable’s restaurants at Kapalama Shopping Center and Ala Moana Center or order online at ahiandveg.com.

“All of the funds raised by Ahi and Vegetable will go directly to our programs preventing and ending homelessness for families with children,” said Ryan Catalani, executive director of Family Promise of Hawaiʻi. “We’re grateful to Ahi and Vegetable for helping to transform the lives of children and families in our community.”

Ahi and Vegetable is committed to serving the highest quality seafood, from their bentos to sashimi platters. The local restaurant chain has one simple mission: serve only the freshest fish available.

“We truly believe in Family Promise of Hawaiʻi’s mission and are extremely excited for this partnership,” said Quynh Dang, Ahi and Vegetable’s VP of Community Relations. “This is an amazing opportunity to support Hawaii’s community and give where it counts.”
